This behemoth of a book, nearly 800 pages, was one of the quickest reads of my life. I simply could not put it down! This is the fourth book in the series and it picks up right where A Court of Frost and Starlight leaves off, but this is focused solely on Nesta and Cassian’s relationship. After letting Nesta deal with the trauma of the war alone and in her own way, which consists of drinking till oblivion and bringing strangers into her bed. A Court of Frost and Starlight continues the series in the form of a novella. Even though this book is much smaller than the previous 500-800 pages books; it makes a huge impact and furthers the story along in a HUGE way. It delves deep into the relationship of Rhysand and Feyre as well as the Night Court as the Winter Solstice approaches. It touches lightly upon the lingering and never fully resolved PTSD from the war as well as physical scars that they might have. There is also a little conflict between Feyre and Nesta, which is a good lead up and sneak peek into the plot of  A Court of Silver Flames. From taking a year plus break from reading anything in the ACOWAR series. This was a nice way back in.It has the characters enjoying themselves and just happily celebrating the Solstice for the first in years. Is it full of lighthearted fluff? Yes. Is it also full of smut?
