The Impossible Girl  by Lydia Kang 1850’s a woman named Cora is born with two hearts and is of mixed lineage, which is considered taboo at that time. Disowned by her family, she becomes a resurrectionist to provide for her Maid (Who is like a mother to her) and her Uncle Alexander. Who was a beau of her late Aunt Charlotte.  Being a resurrectionist, someone who robs graves and sells them to universities or oddities museums, she is at an advantage to hear any rumors of her predicament. In order to do this and survive, she pretends to be her own twin, Jacob, in order to protect herself even further and to do the dirty work. This is full of finding the truth, love, and betrayal. What I liked:  Setting is in 1850’s New York City and there is a wonderful slow burn romance with Theodore Flint.  There are two wonderful twists in the story.
