The Shadows: A Novel By Alex North This book is about: Paul returns to his hometown after 25 years, only stepping foot in town because his mother is in hospice after an accident. He escaped from there as soon as possible after a horrendous murder took place, that friends from his childhood committed. Copycat killings have been occurring but he’s paid no attention to the news, only finding out because his mother has been keeping record. A detective, Amanda, who is investigating the most recent of the copycat murders is thrown into the mystery of what actually took place 25 years ago. Thrown into confronting the past, what he took part in, and those he surrounded himself with. Paul is face to face with Red Hands and what actually happened to Charlie.  What I liked: How loving and protective Paul’s mother was as well as some of the other parents through out the novel. That it jumped between Then and Now to give a lot of information and background to what was happening. That the smal...
