This book begins in the 1950’s with a glamorous woman named Noemí Taboada coming in from a night out to her father calling her into his office. Her father tells her that she will be traveling to see her newlywed cousin for a wellness visit after receiving a distressing letter stating there are ghosts and that her husband is poisoning her.
