  Along the journey of re-reading the ACOTAR series, I was in a horrific car accident and broke my hand, so things will be a little slow for me and formatted differently.      So, re-reading ACOFAS have to say it is still not my favorite in the series. After reading it for the second time it is much more tolerable and wasn't too angry about having to re-read it in this journey. It really made me really want a book in Lucien's POV and his time spent away on his trip to find the cursed queen, and now his journey with Vassa and Jurien. Feel like there is a lot there that can be explored and brought to light. Very interested in seeing what will happen in the next few books. Hate that he's in the group of Misfits or whatever they call themselves, but it makes sense for his character and such.      Love how it bounces between the different characters every chapter...it gives insight to how their own books would be if it followed them. There definitely are trigger warnings for depression, PTSD, sexual assault, assault, and possibly eating disorders. So please be careful and gentle with yourself while reading this book. This behemoth of a book, nearly 800 pages, was one of the quickest reads of my life. I simply could not put it down! This is the fourth book in the series and it picks up right where A Court of Frost and Starlight leaves off, but this is focused solely on Nesta and Cassian’s relationship. After letting Nesta deal with the trauma of the war alone and in her own way, which consists of drinking till oblivion and bringing strangers into her bed. Freye decides to take matters into her own hands after Nesta charges a night on the town to the Night Court and it is a small fortune. When Nesta is faced with the choices to either train with Cassian, live in the house of the winds, and work in the library OR be dropped off on the other side of the wall with the humans. A Court of Frost and Starlight continues the series in the form of a novella. Even though this book is much smaller than the previous 500-800 pages books; it makes a huge impact and furthers the story along in a HUGE way. It delves deep into the relationship of Rhysand and Feyre as well as the Night Court as the Winter Solstice approaches. It touches lightly upon the lingering and never fully resolved PTSD from the war as well as physical scars that they might have. There is also a little conflict between Feyre and Nesta, which is a good lead up and sneak peek into the plot of  A Court of Silver Flames. From taking a year plus break from reading anything in the ACOWAR series. This was a nice way back in.It has the characters enjoying themselves and just happily celebrating the Solstice for the first in years. Is it full of lighthearted fluff? Yes. Is it also full of smut?
