Lancaster, Pennsylvania Road Trip

Late in the summer my family and I had tickets to the Hella Mega Tour ft. Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day. Lucky enough in the times of covid…my mom, brother, and I were able to attend. Being fully vaccinated we weren’t too nervous about the crowds, especially being in the seated area, but we wore our masks the entire time. Just for the extra bit of safety. Weezer being first, and my favorite of the three, played absolutely all of my favorite songs. Honestly, the entire concert was incredible. The parking was less than desirable but I also blame it partly on not wearing the proper shoes for practically hiking.

Making it a whole family affair, the road trip to Hershey Park turned into a weekend getaway in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Of course we were missing my other younger sibling and older brother but the former just moved to Texas and are currently living their best lives. While my older brother is busy working and being with his own family. So that leaves the rest of us, my dad, mom, abuela, little brother, and I.

Our trip from here consisted of going to the Bird in Hand farmers market, just down the road, where I swear they have the best homemade pretzels. Just absolutely fantastic. We have to get at least three every time we go. After that we went to the hotel next door that has a small animal pen in the back. They’re well taken care of and obviously loved by all, but you’re able to purchase food to feed them. Down the hill a little, there is a lake that has the most MASSIVE koi fish that will gladly take some of the animal feed.

The next day we went to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania for the Strausburg Rail Road train ride. You have to purchase tickets online because they take reservations, but it is worth it. There is even a stop on the train route where you can bring food for a picnic with some playground equipment for the kids. It is the most beautiful greenery with a perfect view of local farms and surrounding areas. The train museum, which is directly across the street, is the most amazing museum. It features an inside and outside portion of train cars used around the country. Each car has a sign that describes when they were made and how they were used. They were so absolutely unique and special in their own way. There was even a train engine that they use for teaching how to conduct and drive a steam engine.

For dinner we went to the Lancaster Brewing Company in downtown Lancaster, which is also a favorite haunt of ours when we’re in the area. They brew and even can everything on site and are the nicest workers and owners you will ever find. With an inside seating area and outside patio, it’s as spacious as the food is delicious. The cauliflower appetizer is my absolute go to. The atmosphere alone is worth going to and the food and people make it even better.

Lullaby by J.L Bryan (Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper #7)

"You want to see if you can train the evil singing nursey ghost to...do what? Babysit evil children?"     Ellie Jordan's life just got a whole lot more complicated; Calvin sells the company, and the new owners are in town calling all the shots...not to mention Michael is in a coma due to the injuries sustained on one of her last investigations. The new client they are to meet is a pregnant woman who has a ghost that appears in the nursey singing an eerie lullaby. As always, the team discovers there are more ghosts in the house and that one hunts children, and they need to stop them before they try to kill again. All while figuring out where the now dormant Anton Clay is hiding.      Once again Bryan just absolutely knocks it out of the park with this new addition. I just want to open this up with saying how much I absolutely hate the new owners PSI, and Kara the Russian woman overseeing everything. she is extremely in touch with the paranormal and has a few tricks up he
